How to Apply Your UV DTF Decal

For best results, follow these instructions carefully.

Step 1: Clean Your Surface

Thoroughly clean your glass with soap and water to remove fingerprints, oils, dust and residue. Allow it to dry completely before applying.

Step 2: Prepare Your Decal

Place your decal on a flat surface and firmly rub across the design using a squeegee or application card to ensure the artwork adheres to the clear transfer film.

Step 3: Peel the Backing

Slowly peel away the backing paper, ensuring the entire design remains attached to the clear transfer film.

Step 4: Position and Apply

Carefully align the decal on your glass. Begin applying from one edge, gradually smoothing the design onto the surface to minimise air bubbles.

Important: UV DTF decals have strong adhesive. Once applied, they cannot be easily repositioned.

Step 5: Rub Firmly

Using your fingers or a squeegee, firmly rub across the entire design, paying special attention to small lettering, fine details and edges. Ensure the edges do not touch! 

Step 6: Remove the Transfer Film

Slowly peel the clear transfer film back at a sharp angle, keeping it close to the glass. If any part of the design lifts, lay the film back down, rub firmly and peel again.

Care Instructions

To help preserve your decal:

• Hand wash gently using mild dish soap and a soft sponge.

• Avoid soaking or prolonged exposure to water.

• Do not scrub directly over the design with abrasive materials.

• Do not place in the dishwasher or microwave.

• Avoid extreme heat and harsh cleaning chemicals.

• Allow the adhesive to settle for at least 24 hours before washing.

Important Information

• Apply only to clean, dry, smooth and non-porous surfaces.

• UV DTF decals are not suitable for fabric, silicone or heavily textured surfaces.

• Decals are intended for permanent application and are not reusable.

• Keep decals away from the drinking rim and areas that come into direct contact with food or the mouth.

• Colours may vary slightly depending on screen settings.

• Application results depend on proper surface preparation and installation.
